Lindsey Peterson
Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Lindsey Peterson is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about creating a warm, accepting space where clients can reconnect with themselves, explore their experiences, and move toward lasting growth. She believes healing is fostered through safe, supportive relationships where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Lindsey’s counseling approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore difficult experiences with honesty and self-compassion. Drawing from attachment theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed concepts, and other evidence-based approaches, she helps clients process painful experiences, build resilience, and develop a healthier relationship with themselves.
Lindsey enjoys working with young adults, and adults, with a special interest in supporting women navigating anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem challenges, trauma, attachment wounds, relationship concerns, family dynamics, and life transitions. She believes every person’s story deserves to be heard and that understanding the past can help create lasting change in the present.
Before becoming a counselor, Lindsey volunteered in hospital and hospice settings, where she supported individuals and families during vulnerable moments. These experiences strengthened her commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.
Lindsey earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, where she developed a strong foundation in counseling theories, human development, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, group counseling, and addiction within family systems. She remains committed to lifelong learning and continues to expand her knowledge through specialized training in trauma treatment and evidence-based therapies.
She believes meaningful therapy balances compassion with growth, helping clients feel deeply understood while building practical tools, greater self-awareness, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges.
Outside of counseling, Lindsey lives in Cedar City with her husband and their four children. She enjoys oil painting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her golden retriever.
