Brad Workman

Psychiatric - Nurse Practitioner

Clayton Spencer earned his Masters in Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University in 2015. During Clayton’s training at Auburn he treated couples, families, and individuals with a variety of family and mental health challenges.  He learned the art and science of therapy at Auburn where he was observed through a one-way mirror to further develop his technique and practice. Clayton worked in Community Mental Health in Alabama and later moved back home to Utah where he would practice family therapy in residential treatment for the next seven years.

Clayton loves people.  He enjoys learning together with other people trying to find new peace and meaning in life. Clayton believes there is always hope where life can sometimes feel insurmountable.  Clayton enjoys hearing from his clients as they venture toward new chapters in their lives.

Clayton is passionate about family and recreation.  Hiking, rock climbing, fishing, canyoneering, and just about anything in the outdoors brings healing and excitement to his life.  Clayton is strong advocate for healing through recreation and adventure.  He believes that people can heal and develop their psychological self through exposure to challenging recreational activities.  Clayton believes some of the most critical values in therapy are honesty, humility, and commitment.

Clayton has three sons and has been happily married for 13 years.  His wife Bonnie is the better therapist of the two, but her schedule is already fully booked by all of Clayton’s problems…so, she is unavailable.  Clayton’s sons are the joy of his life and he takes them on crazy adventures in hopes that when he is gone (hopefully many years from now) they will remember how he made them feel about themselves.
