Misty Bliss
Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
I was born in Anaheim, California, and grew up moving often as a military child, eventually graduating from high school in San Antonio, Texas. After serving a mission for my church, I earned a degree in psychology from Brigham Young University and married shortly before graduation. My husband and I began our life together in Stephenville, Texas, and later settled in Oak City, Utah, where he transitioned from the dairy industry to running a commercial beekeeping business. During this time, we raised our six children—an experience that continues to shape my perspective on relationships, resilience, and personal growth.
When our youngest child entered elementary school, I began working in residential treatment and discovered a deep passion for supporting youth and families through life’s most challenging moments. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in School Counseling and found great fulfillment working with middle and high school students. In my time as a school counselor, I became increasingly aware of the need for accessible, quality mental health care in our rural community. This realization led me to pursue licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), expanding the scope of services I could offer in Millard County.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing requires attention to the whole person—mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I have experience working with adolescents, individuals, families, and couples facing anxiety, depression, addiction, life transitions, and relational challenges. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is warm, respectful, and goal-oriented, helping clients build the insight and tools they need to navigate life more intentionally.
I also believe that personal development is ongoing—for both clients and clinicians. I’m committed to my own growth and well-being, both professionally and personally. I live what I teach by actively engaging in meaningful relationships and embracing life’s challenges as opportunities for growth. I find joy and purpose in my roles as a therapist, mother, and member of this community, and I’m honored to walk alongside those seeking lasting change and deeper connection.
