Shauna Bacon
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Shauna is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a deep passion for helping individuals find hope, healing, and empowerment. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2018, after more than two decades of working in education and multicultural settings. Her background includes a B.A. in Liberal Studies and an M.A. in Multicultural Education, which provided her with the opportunity to teach both children and adults, including English as a Second Language. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in the home lives and emotional challenges of her students, ultimately inspiring her to pursue a career in counseling.
Shauna is trained in EMDR therapy and has completed both basic and advanced trainings, including workshops focused on using EMDR to treat addiction. Her therapeutic work centers on trauma recovery—helping clients overcome the impact of difficult life experiences and regain a sense of safety, strength, and self-worth.
With over 20 years of personal and professional experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Shauna brings a compassionate and informed perspective to her work with neurodiverse individuals and families. As a former board member of the Southern Utah Autism Support Group, she has helped families navigate the complex landscape of autism support and connect with essential resources. Her insight into the strengths and struggles that come with autism enables her to offer meaningful, tailored support to both individuals and caregivers.
Shauna’s approach is rooted in empathy, empowerment, and respect for each person’s unique story. She takes pride in walking alongside her clients as they discover resilience and healing through life’s challenges.
Outside of her professional life, Shauna has been married for over 20 years and is the proud mother of two sons. As a family, they enjoy exploring the outdoors and spending time together whenever possible.
