About

Merilee Dalton

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I’ve worked as a therapist for many years and truly love what I do. I enjoy working with young adults, adults, and couples—getting to know people from all walks of life, with their own unique differences, experiences, and perspectives. I’m passionate about sincerely understanding where my clients are coming from, recognizing where they may feel stuck, and helping them move forward from that place. I know from personal experience that we all need support at times, and therapy can be a powerful source of healing, growth, and transformation.

I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, performance-related stress, adjustment challenges, OCD, depression, self-harm, co-dependency, and family and relationship conflict. I love helping individuals build confidence, develop healthier relationships, and find deeper contentment in their everyday lives. I also have a strong interest in helping couples build emotional connection and improve communication in their marriages.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and flexible—I believe every person is different, and it’s important to find the right method and style that meets each individual’s needs and goals. I integrate several modalities into my work, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sand Tray Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Sports and Performance Therapy, mindfulness strategies, and play therapy with children. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and healthy therapeutic relationship where clients can feel comfortable exploring their challenges and building resilience.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of Phoenix in St. George, Utah in 2012. Since 2016, my understanding of trauma and emotional healing has deepened further—when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, my personal journey became a meaningful part of how I relate to and support my clients.

Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my husband and our three amazing daughters (plus our dog!). I enjoy camping, summer BBQs, swimming, and hitting the ski slopes whenever I can.

If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I’d be honored to support you. Let’s take that first step together.
