Intern Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Lindsey Peterson is an Intern Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about creating a warm, accepting space where clients can reconnect with their sense of self, explore their experiences, and move toward growth. She believes that true healing is nurtured both through safe, supportive relationships where people feel seen and valued, and by recognizing each individual’s innate capacity for resilience and change.
Her counseling approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. Lindsey values walking alongside clients with compassion and respect, integrating the power of safe, supportive connections and the principles of attachment and relational healing into her counseling approach. She enjoys working with individuals, with a focus on women and young adults navigating anxiety, grief, self esteem, relational concerns.
Her background includes volunteer work in hospital and hospice care settings, where she had the privilege of being present with individuals and families during vulnerable moments, experiences that deepened her commitment to compassionate, human-centered care. Lindsey is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, where she has built a strong foundation in counseling theories, human development, group counseling, crisis intervention, trauma, and the effects of addiction within family systems.
Outside of counseling, Lindsey lives in Cedar City with her husband and their four children. She enjoys oil painting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her two golden retrievers.
