John Parry, Clinical Social Worker
About

John Parry

Clinical Social Worker

John takes an eclectic and flexible approach to therapy, tailoring his methods to meet the unique needs of each client. He draws from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while integrating a humanistic perspective grounded in unconditional positive regard. He believes that healing begins in a space where clients feel respected, supported, and heard.

When working with children, John incorporates play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy—creative tools that allow young clients to express themselves and process emotions in a developmentally appropriate way. With couples, he uses research-backed methods like the Gottman Method to help partners rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection.

John holds a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University, a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Utah University (SUU). He is licensed as a Certified Social Worker.

Beyond his professional experience, John values family deeply. He and his wife of over 20 years have had the joy of raising four fantastic children together. His personal and professional life reflect his dedication to growth, connection, and helping others find strength and resilience through life’s challenges.
